Business Intelligence (BI) Developer

What are we looking for:
We are looking for an experienced Business Intelligence (BI) Developer who is skilled in migrating data visualization solutions from QlikSense to Power BI. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of data modeling, ETL processes, and a knack for creating insightful dashboards that cater to business needs. You should be ready to collaborate with stakeholders, ensuring a smooth transition of data and processes to the new reporting environment while maintaining data integrity and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Migrate existing dashboards and data models from QlikSense to Power BI, ensuring data consistency and performance.
• Analyze QlikSense data models and create equivalent models in Power BI, maintaining business logic.
• Manage ETL processes to ensure continuity of data pipelines throughout the migration.
• Develop custom reports and visualizations in Power BI based on business requirements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting needs, adjust migrated dashboards, and provide training on the Power BI environment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data and performance issues during the migration.
• Document migration processes, data models, and provide user guidelines for the new Power BI dashboards.

Experience and Background:

• 3+ years of experience with QlikSense and Power BI, including dashboard development, data modeling, and analysis.
• Proficiency in DAX, Power Query, and other Power BI functionalities.
• Experience with scripting and advanced calculations in QlikSense.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, SQL, and ETL processes.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex data issues and deliver effective solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to simplify technical concepts for stakeholders.

Differentiating Qualifications:

• Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate or similar certification.
• Experience with other BI tools like Tableau or Looker.
• Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms such as Azure or AWS.
• Previous experience in a consulting or client-facing role.
